General - Course enrollment

Unless otherwise specified, the course enrollment deadline will be 3 working days before the course commencement date.

Online Enrollment Procedures

  1. Select the course you wish to apply for and click on "Online Enrollment" on the course information page.
  2. Complete the online enrollment form and make sure all the required information marked with * is filled.
  3. Click on "Submit" to send your online enrollment form.
  4. If you see error message(s), please enter / edit the required information according to the instructions provided and click on "Submit" again.
  5. If your online enrollment form has been completed correctly, you will see a confirmation page. Seat reservation is confirmed when payment is settled.
  6. Keep the confirmation number for class registration.

Payment Method

Please specify the programme title(s) for application, student's name, and date of the course.

    The course fees of all courses (course enrollments are on a first-come, first-served basis) can be settled by cash deposit, cheque deposit (cheque payable to "Independent Professional Association Limited") or online transferring money to our bank account.

When send us by email (info@ip-a.org) notification of payment, please specify the programme title(s) for application, student's name, and date of the course.

Notes

  1. Fees paid are not refundable unless the enrolled course is full, cancelled or in exceptional circumstance deemed acceptable by the Association. The Association will transfer the refund to the bank accounts of the applicant concerned.
  2. Receipts will be issued in electronic format only.
  3. The Association reserves the right to cancel a course if enrollment is insufficient and make alterations regarding instructors, class locations, class schedules and the course content if necessary.
  4. As a general rule, classes will be cancelled when the Hong Kong Observatory advises that a Storm Warning Signal No. 8 or above is expected to be issued within two hours.

Typhoon

  • All classes will be cancelled when Typhoon Signal No.8 or above is to be hoisted within 2 hours of the due time for the beginning of the class.
  • When Typhoon Signal No.8 is lowered at or before 6:30 am, all morning classes will be held as normal.
  • When Typhoon Signal No.8 is lowered by 12:00 noon, all afternoon classes will be held as normal.
  • When Typhoon Signal No.8 is lowered at or before 4:00 pm, all evening classes will be held as normal.

Rainstorm Warnings

  • All classes will be cancelled when Black Rainstorm Warning is to be issued within 2 hours of the due time for the beginning of the class.
  • When Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered at or before 6:30 am, all morning classes will be held as normal.
  • When Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered by 12:00 noon, all afternoon classes will be held as normal.
  • When Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is lowered at or before 4:00 pm, all evening classes will be held as normal.
  • While the Black Rainstorm Warning is in effect, students are advised to stay where they are or take shelter in a safe place. In the event of Amber or Red Rainstorm Warning Signal is in effect, all scheduled classes will be held as normal.
